Graphics Config Location

What is the default location for the graphics config file used by the GP Italia 2006 mod beta....

Is it GP4\GPSAVES\Carsets\The2006Mod_v0.1PublicBeta\Data\Files ??

but you can also use the .cfg file in the main gp4 directory

Interestingly, before launching the mod, I removed the f1graphics.cfg and f1graphics.BAK from the main directory and launched the sim, ran a quick race at Canada and exited. The f1graphics.BAK was the only file re-created in the main directory.
I have been trying to get a handle on why ctd's occur when the graphics are calibrated as well as why the in game appearance doesn't seem as good as the older mods I'm running.
