ok, the way i do it....
fist, check if gp4 is in the same folder as me, if it is then good
if not, check the registry, if that found gp4 then yay :D
next, if that failed, ask the user to find it.

ok. what i do.
don't install any extras in the sacred gp4 folder.
2nd. keep well away from registry whilst sober.
some eds dont have a choose path option.

The problem with the patch is, you can't select the path to install it! So you have to install it into the 1st install (which I also keep 'fresh and untouched )!
