How to get rid of suspension from cockpit view ?

does anyone know how to remove the suspension from cockpit view. its not part of the cockpit shape but is still displayed, probably for when bits break off. cant usually see the (exept when you crash), but ive lowered the whole cockpit and now bits of suspension are visible on some cars.

eg Minardi cockpit OK



williams not too bad



and jaguar pretty bad

can they come from car lod_0 shape?
there's not any other suspension part in the cars.wad
try lowering at least one side in the car_jaguar_car1_lod0.gp4 front suspension to see if something change.
nice tyres and steering wheel too!

yeah, im pretty sure they do come from the load 0 car shape, however it would be a bit of a fart to have to edit every carshape when ever i use a new shape, especially when im using other peoples carshapes and most of those are locked, i just wondered if there was some way to cause gp4 not to use suspension in cockpit view

I thought they somehow came from the cockpit view?

When u change to the cockpit view ur car shape is totally unloaded from the screen, nothing u see there is in the nrmal carshape files, even those wheels and those wheels dont even rotate as they arent full circules, only parts of wheels

i posted this some time ago.
somehow this suspension part of the carshape gets loaded into cockpit-view.
this fact could be our chance to get different cockpits for each car.
possibility 1. : madman fiddles out how this suspension comes into the cockpit view.
possibility 2: we carshapers manage to connect the cockpit with front suspension. but this wiil cause an incorrect damage model-

to Ellis, the bits of suspension are definately from the car shape. i tried a new williams which had different coloured textures and sure enough they showed up in cockpit view, i think it so things look properly when you crash, ie you can see bits of suspension attatched to your flying wheels.

hm yeah, sounds ok then, must be in the shapes. Looks like ur editing each one!

yeah caelen, they are from cashape, i've tried to lower very much the cockpit and raise the car_weel_front_cockpit.gp4 shape. now i have steering wheel and the suspension only in my cockpit view.
well,they are objects as the steering weel and the dash, may be a future version of cameditor can adjust their position too.

Caelen, Please tell me where you got the steering wheel and cockpits from, PLEASE!!
