Realistic Cockpit WIP

That's a practice...I may release it or won't...the only reason I release it is everyone likes it and no one cares it is converd from F1C...I'll make new cockpit texture layout

You worked with Calean (tyre textures) on your 3d rims & he has already produced what I think are the best cockpits for GP4.

Why not colaborate with him on this. Surely two heads are better than one in this instance as I think Calean is trying to improve his at the moment to make it even more realistic, i.e. lowering the cockpit in relation to the front wheels (as per your Williams picture) etc.

Good luck however you proceed as I feel very strongly that the more lifelike the cockpit can be made to appear is one of the most effective ways of improving GP4 as it is capable of producing stunning visuals, as your cars show!

it's a new technology... it's supposed to be some sort of a display inside the driver's helmet where the information about the race is displayed...

Looks great! The original cockpit is such a crap.
I'm looking forward to the final version

Maybe include a generic wheel for the default and custom wheels per team....what a cockpit...thanks Viper!

Yeah, that the HUD (head up display). It was developed by BMW and I believe both Ralf and JPM have used it, whether they use it all the time I don't know....

It supposedly brings up images of yellow flags and warnings of oil and things like that.

Can you make a template-version, so that other designers can adapt the new texturemapping and maybe include the new cockpit shape to their cars? Of course with full credits.
