I take it, this is another "who can use photoshop the best" rather than a best screenshot comp.

When will there be a comp when its about getting the best shot using skill on the track, not skill with picture editors?

see the difference between variantes screenshot and my photshop filters

now my photoshop version took me 10 mins to make it look a little more lifelike with filtering, why on earth could'nt the developers do this with the graphics and make the game look more like real life than the default cartoonlike graphics?

instead of trying to devalue the competiton and poo poo it, why not try and rise to the challenge?

sounds like ferrari when mclaren developed the 2nd brake pedal :)

if the rules stated no photoshop then i would'nt have entered, but also i would'nt have posted about the fact that non photoshop effects were viable.

its called horses for courses my friend :)

I understand that you use photoshop to make your pics look better, but im saying we need a compo where the skill is in the actual shot, not a 10min conversion in photoshop... wheres the skill in that ??

whilst i appreciate that not many people have the access to art packages i think that when a competition is announced and the rules don't omit editing the chosen form one cannot complain when the rules are'nt set out correctly.

if for example the former was set out as plain simple screen shots no editing etc then the matter would be clearer.

but as it stands, every thing is open

maybe you should start a thread of non photo edited screenshots and maybe allow the cam editor util instead, coz the default cam settings are a bit boring, yet the individual can customize the camera settings to their personal tastes and get diffferent results which is easier than say a lack of photoshop knowledge

nice work, LS.
i don't see the point in non ps stuff.
whats the criteria for judging a non edited shot? best camera angle? best graphics card? best crash?
what LS is doing is going away from 'screenshots of a car racing game' towards...

...art!

I think its great, but maybe if i didn't have access to Photoshop and some ps skills i might think different.
every shot entered here or in the melbourne thread (judegs: no editing any more) have been tweaked in photoshop, so i guess people want that. I know I want to see more editted shots.
But if you have some nice non editted ones then let us see them.
