Vesa, did you or anybody do the Alfa Romeo?
And do you know if and when it will be released?

@Vesa, I noticed you are using "3", projected shadow setting. Does this shadow addon get rid of the shadow "tails"? I use option "2", composite shadow because I'm not fond of the shadow tails when using the projected shadow setting. When using this shadow addon and utilizing the composite shadow setting, there are no visible changes in game. I've tried all the shadow settings in game.

If you want to use the texture I posted, it has to be set to "1" (static)

it goes like this:

f1graphics.cfg<------------------->graphics menu ingame
0 (off)-------------------------------->off
1 (static)---------------------------->low
2 (composite)---------------------->medium
3 (projected)----------------------->high

Remember the first line of your f1graphics.cfg:

0 ; f1graphics.cfg controls all settings (default 0)

If you have that set to "1" the graphics menu ingame will have no effect because as it says, the cfg file controls all settings.

So, if you want to use my shadow texture, check that both the shadow type in f1graphics.cfg is "1" and ingame menu says "low" and it should work

Heikki, thanks for the information. I got it working now although using a slightly different setting. I have set "1" in f1graphics.cfg and high in game. Works fine.

This update has been needed for a long time. Thanks again.

@MSchumi24

Alfa Romeo in screenshots is converted/modified by Hega, donĀ“t know if it will be pucblicly released anymore as other unmodified ACFL conversion is out.

@Glenn

Yeah long tail shadows are indeed problem with projected shadows /new tracks, also with this new shadow texture.

@Heikki

Thanks for the info, will have to check out what kind of differences those settings make.

Got it working! I needed to set that value to "1" in f1graphics.cfg, thanks Glenn for that tip. I've now rolled this update into my GP4 Central 2018 CSM Mod - thanks Heikki! It looks great!!

Mr. Hega:

Many congratulations for the work of Cockpits with halo variants. Really a very good realization. However, if I may, I have to indicate a couple of missing elements, which in my humble opinion are fundamental to running "as it should". I have to tell him that I use the keyboard.
The first missing element is the rear-view mirrors (it would be impossible to drive a street car without them much more an F1) and the other is that the indicator on the state of the pit does not turn on, if it is free or occupied, by the teammate, or if the entry is requested for a question of fuel, strategy, failure, etc.
I beg you, because you are with this on the verge of perfection for GP4, which contemplates the possibility of resolving what has been indicated.

Thank you very much already. Since the halo joined the cars "dream" with the cockpit has in addition to that halo, graphically speaking, the performance of all the benefits that Geoff Crammond gave us from the beginning.

Again the gratitude and a very strong and fraternal embrace.

BobT
