HELP! I want to install car in 2005 mod! texture prob

Hi, i was wondering if you could help me here. I've got 6 files listed here - car_interior, car_prost_car1_lod_4, car_prost_car2_lod_4, prost_1.TEX, prost_2.TEX and prost_3.TEX . I want to install it into either Karan19's wad, or b'tone's 2005 mod (preferably). In b-tones mod, i deleted the virgin car's files and replaced with my ones, but ended up with a sauber :S I tried in karans wad, but i got a white plain car. I want to put this car into the game despretaly(sp), so i appreicate any help.

you also need these files. replace the ones in the virgin folder is coorrect, i think.
make sure you have virgin selected as the 11th teams in the configure menu
car_prost_car1_lod_0
car_prost_car2_lod_0

car_prost_car1_lod_2
car_prost_car2_lod_2
car_prost_car1_lod_3

has lods got anything to do with car textures? do i just get anothers cars lods, and stick them with lod_0?

No, you can't do that, because the mapping will be messed

you got the shape working?
good
the set only uses hi_ prefixxed tex files, so the idea is to put big ones (3 at 1024x1024 for example) into the Virgin\Hi folder, and 3 at 512x512 into the Virgin folder.
but you dont need to put any in the Hi folder - if you're using 1024 ones just put them into Virgin (not into a virgin )

ok, right whenever i try to make lods (jimbob told me how to) i get all correct until it gets into the game. i made lods called arrows and prost so thats what came up. do i have to use fictional name?

What was the file names of the virgin car ?

Look at the names of the lods for the Virgin car, name your the same as the virgin ones, name your tex's hi_anything_you_want , and then put them where

I have a german 2005 complete update and it has the virgin car too -
it was just simply called team11

did you get it working yet?
if not, which car is it? one youve made or downloaded?
which 'version' of the set do you have installed? - ie what was the last update yuo installed?

No, I didn't get it working, so I'm going to start all over again. I've got the latest update (silverstone etc.) Its one i have downloaded. It is my WGP Car.

If you want to, i can send the car over to you, install it into your own gp4 and send me it back with it working. Or just tell me step by step.
