Is it definitly "no" (for this moment)? Is it coded in a way that there is absolutely no chance to change this?

In my hands, it's definitely no but maybe Zaz could do it...

Aren't the split sector positions calculated by GP4? In my Jerez, the splits were automatically inserted at 1/3 and 2/3 of the lap.

yes they are.
like most things, it is possible to change (not 100% sure though, as i haven't tested it). but don't expect me doing this :) this will require adding whole new pieces of code to gp4, and preferably some additions to the tracks themselves, plus the use of a new external app which takes care of this. else you'd have to change the code of gp4 even more.
it will be a massive job and imho, it's not worth the effort atm.

Is it? Can you elaborate Leolo1974? I use CMagic to edit lots of stuff, haven't ever tried editing the Sector Start/Ends?

I remember the GP2 days (and GP3 - I think*?) when you just entered a number for the sector splits in the track editing!

Not that I'm complaining, the things people have done with GP4 is just amazing, I've made a few mods and use lots of others, and it's amazing how far we've come from the out of the box game :)

i have all tracks i use with real split sector.
1) open cmagic4
2) load a track
3) click on "edit gp4 info" button
4) click "add" button then write split1 and click ok
5) insert the value you want for first split time sector
6) re-click "add" and write split2 and repeat precedent operation
if you want modify also the lap number of race, click on "add", write laps and click ok, then write the laps you want.

important: everytime you modify a track (for change the cameras position, for example) you lost the data

@leolo1974, when you said "insert the value you want for first split time sector", do you mean percentage of whole lap or track sector number?

GREAT!!! It works:) Thanks leolo!
Is it also possible to change the speed trap positions? Normally they were a small amount (I think about 50) of secorts after the split time.

Well, it's not difficult and probably you will have to learn that because the new data gets lost when saving the .dat file again (have tried it). You just have to import new track cams and you'll have to set the values again.
