Currently there are two kinds of graphic cards - those that go into the normal "AGP" slot and those for the newer, faster "PCI Express" slot. Which version you should buy depends on your motherboard. Only a few boards - mainly those realeased during the last two or three months - offer PCI Express slots. If your board is older chances are high that it does "only" suppport AGP. Together with the right graphics card this, however, will still be fast enough for all games now and in the closer future.

If you are not sure about your mother board tell us which one you have and we will surely help you to find what you need.

I have a 9600TX, its basically a 9500pro but its faster. Its more comparable to a FX5800 apparently. It plays games fine even newer games like Doom 3 Etc... HOwever since this card is rather hard to come by I would recommend either a Radeon x800 Or Geforce 6800. For something slightly cheaper Either a Geforce FX5900 Ultra Or Radeon 9800Pro 256Mb. My mate has both these cards & there excellent, he can play doom 3 in 1024x768 with all detail maxed out with no problems, so i would think GP4 would play on them fine :)

Also check the off-topic forum. We had at least three graphic card threads in the last few weeks.
