I am looking for an helmet tutorial, a step-by-step guide for dummies. I think some people might be interresting to make their own helmet....

If anybody like @dreams comme trulli, @raztahz, @Lord Kamder, @fongu,.... can make a step-by-step guide of a simple helmet such as David Coulthard's helmet, it would be great

THX

it is, essentially, as easy as that - particularly with the hi-res textures since the visor is seperate... but for doing well there's obviously better ways of doing lines, curves etc but that's a bit specialised and every author has their own ways of doing things :P

Ok guys here I'll try to help you:

- programs to use: Adobe Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro

- Open a new, empty file with: width 40cm and height 10cm

- Take the middle of your helmet (20cm) and draw a thin black line to see where you have to draw the lines.

- Use the brush tool to paint your helmet as you like

- To view your helmet you have to do this:
* turn your image 180°
* flip your image horizontal
* save it as ...(yourname).tga
* open zmodeler and import the shape (use gp4genius if you don't have it)
* press 'E' and select your file

hope this helps you!
