I have just been going through the hoops as well, I had it installed last year and it was great with the help of this forum and lots of reading various posts.
Then I got a new pc in April and lost the old gp4 directory, as I formated the wrong drive, the one with GP4 on.
So I have had to try and relearn how to get upto speed on installs and the like.
I find it very frustrating as I'm on my 5th install and I'm still not happy with it.
A sticky thread at least would be nice for us NOObs!
If the GP4 community wants to attract new members to it's fold then a howto guide would surely be a must have.
I was attracted by the screenshot of Monoco posted the other day at M4driving and thought how great GP4 looked.
That was 2 days ago and I still don't have GP4 anywhere near perfect. So much so that I went back to F1C yesterday and had an hour on that.
But GP4 somehow called me back to try again, I don't know what it is about this sim but it sure is addictive and very immersive.
So as a complete noob.
Here is what you should do first. (please feel free to correct me and join in)
Install GP4
Patch gp4 to GP4_patch v9.6
Apply the Nocd for that version.
Apply inst-gpxpatch380.exe
Then this is where I run out of Knowledge.
There are numerous tools that seem to be needed, that have been created by the community.
GPXpatch being one.
