Changing carshape and textures to another car?

How do I go about if I want to use a carshape and texture to another car? For example I download a fictional car using the Jordan slot, and I want use it on the Prost slot?

Is it possible, I think I've read before that it can be done. But there might be a problem with the helmet position?
