Can it be that the race variance is randomly generated every time you go into the pits as well? I notice drivers being faster af after their pits sometimes, despite having more fuel. Or is it just the fresh tyres matters that much?

Sorry for the late reply. I think it's indeed the tyres. But I also experienced that my tyres (on human player's car) are getting faster bad than for the AI drivers. Maybe it's because of my driving style, always full throttle! ;) ;-)
