Carset Creator4 problem.

Hi all,

I have a problem with my carset creator4, when i download and want to update the Team Art - Faces of the drivers. i can load the .TGA files but i would please like to know how to save them, cause i cant click on import or export.

And just want to say thx 4 all you who keep the great patches and downloads running, its great.

ok,

I download Team art, which is the pictures of the drivers from the Austria race. Then when i load them into the carset creator4 i see the new pics from Austria, (i click on the TeamArt tab in csc4).

But the problem is how do i save the new downloaded Team art pics over the old ones in the game.(its the pictures where u choose a driver in the game).

I thought to save the new pics into the game i must load the pic and click on export. Well right under the to Driver pictures are buttons that say Import and Export. But i cant click them ...???????????Help please!!!!

And please explain how to do it nicely. thx all

erm, hit export next to the team, list

Your image files in the original game are probably read only. Goto program files/infogrames/grandprix4/menudata/pc/gp2001/images and untick read only in all of the files in that folder. Then try to export your team art with carset creator again and it should work

hmmmmmmmmmmm..............
I just tried this but it didn't work. I renamed the files in the folder as noted above. They were ticked archive AND read only. I left them at archive. Jigged the EXE files, loaded in my new Team Art, exported, re jigged and hey presto. Same old photies.
What's gone wrong?

Any idea what's going wrong. I've tried a few times now and although it seems to export the Team Art when I load the game, it's the original pictures?

Come on Jon, I've looked around already. Please don't be pedantic and point me in the right direction. There's loads of info on CSC4 to sift through and I'm on 56K.

open explorer (dbl click on 'my computer'
navigate to where csc4 is kept/installed.
open csc4 the usual way.
you'll notice a new folder comes into existence. (with a funny name rXaQkd or something)
import the new teamarts the normal way.
go into the funny named folder and you will find a 'teamarts' folder somewhere.
once you've imported all you want, copy all the gpi files form this teamart folder.
paste them into your \Grand Prix 4\MenuData\PC\GP2001\Images folder, overwriting whats already there.(you should backup these originals first)

that should work.

I'd like to but I've got LOADS of folders with weird names, all with TeamArt folers in them but I can't find one with any info in it.
