Well spencer, if some programmer were able to implement the availability of more tracks in a season as well as the possibility to fully customize qualifying rules, it would be simply the best game out there, even though I have to admit that Gp4 lacks nothing else :)

P.S. Sorry Ferrari2007, what do you mean exactly with "just use two profiles in TSM for loading tracks"? I'd like to understand this point more deeply, along with knock-out rules you mentioned, sorry but I'm quite a newbie :)

Well it was something that I think was first used with the 2005 mod by Tony.

Just create a TSM profile with the first 17 races as usual, name that 2005a then create another profile, 2005b with the other tracks, so in the case of 2005 that would have been Suzuka and Shanghai.

It's not perfect but it is a decent way around the 17 track limit.

I'm not exactly sure how the GP4 Manager guys get the knockout qualifying to work but I'd assume they run each session individually and after each session use the numcars feature of GP4Tweaker to remove those cars which would have been knocked out.

You'd be best asking one of the guys in that thread though tbh.

Races: 163 - Wins: 23 - Pole Positions: 24 - Fastest Laps: 22
Season 9: Constructors' Champions

For the knockout qualifying select the cars that dropped out as player cars. This way they'll stay in the pits. For the race you then need the customgridtool by shaddix to get the correct order.

Some mods
F1 1996 | F1 2002 | F1 2007 | F1 2011 | F1 2013 | F1 2015 | F1 2018

Making different sessions is the only way to simulate the knock-out-qualy. Although I'm not involved in GP4 Manager, once I decribed how to make the knock-out-qualifying:

For me the knock-out-qualy is too boring. I drive this format, but I decreased the allowed laps per session down to 3 laps. That allows everyone to drive only 1 timed lap per qualy-session and gives fantastic results ;-).

EDIT:
Too late ;).

I understand the idea of Crammond; i post here this:

is the entire comments discussion of Gp 5, but is in Portuguese language, (if you want use a translator) would be a shame if Gp 5 not exit, but also a great sad to see the community of Gp 4 disappear completely or nearly so, with the risk that Gp 4, would do the same in order to Gp 3.

Nice day for all.

Bye

This was what I talked about earlier, the gp5 rumours from some portugese member where written 2004... I can see my old posts on the drivingitalia thread from those days lol...but there has been no recent rumours after Crammond's 2009 interview.
