hello guys ..

i tried to install 3 new cars yesterday, the jordan, bar and toyota. Everything went well except the toyota (textures are all messed up in the game)

it's the toyota by Erwin Maliepaard & Guyon Waltmans including a new carshape. When i use carset creator to extract the car texture it's the new one but in the game it's not ... any idea ??

thx for any help

:)

Are you playing in low res??

1. You must copy & rename the hi_prost_1.tex, ..._2.tex, ... to prost_1.tex,^prost2.tex, prost_3.tex.
2. Copy & rename the ...lod_0.gp4 to lod_1, lod_2, lod_3 and lod_4 for both car1 and car2.

The toyota should be visible now.

I don't know how exactly gp4 makes the difference between lowres and hires. It can be either :

1. The resolution you're playing on 800*600 (low) -> 1280*1024 (high)
2. The number of detail you 've turned on
3. Depending on the PO values, GP4 might be autoselecting low or highres
4. A combination of the above options.

This is only a wild guess. The only thing I can say about this is that you can figure this out by trying different settings.

You can set it in f1grafics.cfg
