raztahz, mine here:

Intel Pentium 4 2.66 (533)
Radeon 9000 ATI GFX
512 MB DDR RAM

PO/FPS can Vary a lot on "were" you are on the grid, "what" track you select, "were" on the track you are, "what" mirror settings you have, shadows, details, Sound, how many cars, rain/dry, etc, etc. So just posting a PO and a FPS isn't much use unless you specify all of the above. Anyroad, with max settings on, I run the game perfectly with Mid 30's FPS and great PO (goes as low as in the "20's" on some parts of track) Most importantly, I'm happy with the way it runs - and that's at 1280 * 1024

Cheers

Tony

M/Crayon (can't spell Mystical) 640 res is the lowest on my new PC, but I think I recall seeing 512? - or something on my PII 400 - as the lowest setting - or was that LEGO-LAND's 312* ??? Anyroad Crayon I feel for you dude, been down that lowly route me-self - and was about do for an upgrade.

Why don't you try one of those evergreen overdrives? - or (If you have 100 FSB), try and look for a Higher CPU that supports your PC...or, should we all "chip-in" (pun intened - well overdue!) and donate a PC to Crayon - each person on the forum can send him parts, then when received, he can assemble it himself! ) - I'll start - 1: Power Cable lol

this survey is only to see in" general" what acceleration they use in this game
gp4 doesn't really do much with ram like ea's f12x which uses ram frequently

Wait till u hear my computer...

AMD K6 500

256 Ram on a SOCKET 7 motherboard (that i think is dying)

Gforce 4 MX440

1024x768 or what ever it is...

i can get 15 frames per second with most things on high except advanced
lighting effects and track detail no mirrors heat haze etc etc... oh yeah and
NO SOUND!

i have to run MSCONFIG and turn everything off in strart up and system
(except for plug and play) to get this...

if i do have sound... i can get about

8 frames with all graphics turned off plus a nice clicking noise that gets
louder the more the computer has work... i get it in all games i think its
because of the motherboard being @#$%& and dying and the sound card
being @#$%&

do you know how hard it is to play gp4 with no sound?

EDIT: I tell a lie. I'm getting 35FPS @ 1024x768. Good detail.

Really, really crap control set, though. Does anybody have a decent one for a Logitech Wingman FF GP?

without mirrors, of course

Yeah, this is one of my major problems, too - I simply can't race, because if I put anything in the mirrors on, it gets half way to being a slideshow, and if I take mirrors off, I don't see that McLaren poking his nose up the inside until it's way too late. Which annoys me.

Having said that, though, I did some Gp4 tweaking last night, and the results were better. With the same specs as above, in free practise mode and using Jackie Matra's f1graphics.cfg as a base, I was quite happily running 35FPS with quite a decent level of detail, and in 1024x768. So I'll change the above.
