those r the worst parts of GP4 game
1- all the same strategy
2-some cars gets a super pitstop of five secs only
3-on rain allways the other drivers have the perfect choice
4-no safty car
5-no pit crew on the pit wall
6-u can,t get red of steering assistant

its realy the best game ever but those things can get to u sometimes

Erm, not necessarily, they have to pit if it starts raining, and if its a wet race from the start then of course they have the wet weather tyres on, so should you!

Come on!! Does that really matter?

If you can if you have steering wheel, it works nicely for keyboard too

Same strategy: Use Ale's Pit&Lap Editor to set better strategies.

Pitstoptimings: Use GP4tweaker to set Pitstoptimings.

Your wet race problems: Your problem - dont have same. I mostly got right tyres in wet races - sometimes not. Same on ai. Sometimes they are going to pits after some laps only.

saftycar: hmn, not a problem - same on f12002 or other sims. Play nascar if you want a pacecar.

No pitcrew on pitwall: Use dumbass gp4genius. Open the trackfile and save it to wrl. Then open it in 3dsmax and put pitcrews on pitwall (p.s never saw pitcrews on pitwalls only if a driver wins a race... ) Then put textures to the crews and convert it bach to gp4 files with genius. Thats all.

Steering assistance: You can put them off in gp4 controler menu. If not you can do this with gp4tweaker by madman.

Do you want more suggestions? Think there are no real problems. There are only people missing who brings new things to gp4 - like pitcrews on pitwalls :lol2:

I'm not sure you can completely get rid of steering assistance, what about when you pit?

u should put everyone on 2 stop stratagies.

this season most races will be like that and it makes the races a bit better unlike when the AI do one stopers for instance in monaco they usually stop once and all u have to do is stop twice and all u'll have to worry about after that is keeping it of the barriers.

They dont run on the same strategy. Check the CC cars fuel with GPxPatch and you will see

Some cars get faster pit stop times, hmmmmm that seems real doesnt it?

Drivers often start on inters when some are on wets in the wet

I think the problem (for me) is that there is not a value, for how good drivers are in wet conditions. Also I think every car should have different phisics.In GP4 the only thing that is different for every team is HP. Safety car and penalties such as stop&go...

Why different physics for each car? In real life all cars are subject to the same physics as well. I don't think that gravitation is different for Ferrari compared to McLaren and the same g-forces apply to Williams as well as to Minardi. (Yes, I am a nit-picker)

The cars should have aerodynamic features that are not just eye-candy, but really functional in the virtual world of GP4. This would mean, however, that changing the cardesign in zmodeller does change the handling. Unfortunately you would need PCs much faster and better than what we all have at home for this. Maybe Gp10 will offer something like this ...

Madman told me many month's ago that steering assistance in pits (melbourne for example) comes with the track files. So - if someone works with paul hoads trackeditor beta it can be fixed.

But there's no one to work with the tool

onc i started in Australia on dry every one was on wets
and the cicute was completely dry
no clouds no rain

it's still one of the finest looking games i've ever played ever!! Sure there's stuff that needs improving but its still in itself, extremely complex
