Hi,

Does anyone have or know of a good setup for the hungry race?? I've tried to get a good setup and I am on par with the other cars in sector 1 & 3 but I lose about 5-6 tenths in the second!!

If anyone could help then I would be gratefull!

Cheers

Ray

For canada? The best setup is practice. I can get 1:16s with the basic setup, plus 7th gear enabled and lower rear wing. Its an easy track to be fast on, and maybe one of only two (monaco too) where knowing the track perfectly is key.

hey "the fan" heres two setups
(i tend to only run 6 gear here, unlike qwerty, as the track isnt a demanding gear changing one. It basically goes from fast to slow, to fast again so i only use 6 powerful gears. be weary of breaking too hard though as front grip is needed so the nose is fairly high on downforce.)

hi...
i am looking for a setup for brazil interlagos.. for the full wet. With my dry setup i get upto 1m14sxxx and with the wet setup the best i have achieved with great difficulty has been 1m25s185.

I really havent found the best compromising setup in wet. i get similar times with medium N high downforce ...just that i make up time at different sectors.

I want one which is arnd 1m24s5xx.... i have practised for abt 25 hrs in the past 5 days.

Any one can help?

thomson, that setup is pretty good, except there's just no rear end grip at all....and the car is incredibly nervous thru corners. I managed a 1:16.237 with the default gp4 setup, but coud only get a 1:17.168 with your second setup. I increased the rear wing to 10, which allowed me to get a 1:16.892, but obviously much slower! There must be a perfect setup for that track somewhere......I just can't find it. I've done a huge number of laps trying to get a better setup than the default, but I haven't yet....

yeah qwerty its the way i tend to drive my cars, fairly light at the rear. I dont brake too hard into corners and sweep through, carrying speed, ,so it suits my strange driving style. suppose thats the main problem with setups, every1 likes them to be a little different :)

Has anyone had problems with Germany before cos I was going 215 mph on defalt setup in practise but come qualy it goes down to 185. I did a bit of tweaking and I got it up 10 mph and did a faster time than I was going with 215MPH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't know how but I am vicious with the corners

Does anyone know what is wrong?

Loseing 30mph down the straight probably does lose you that much time on a lap it you have more wing as you probably make a second you in the chicanes and stadium section

Its amazing how much speed you can carry over the kerbs at hockenheim, even with no wing. I go for high-ish front wing, say 11, since it doesn't affect straight line speed, just grip. I go for a 1 on the back wing.

Try soft springs, microprose.nut, and a loow rear wing. And drive a ferrari ;) since car power is team dependant with gpxpatch. And ride those kerbs.

With hockenheim, tho with grippy car u can make up a lot in corners, the track is just a big straight, so speed is the important point here.
