idd... he would need to clock the fastest time, and the 5 drivers behind to change their gearboxes for the race

According to the rules, Hamilton would actually take the pole and then take the 5 place grid penalty. If I had realised you were going to apply the penalty first, then obviously I would have put him in 6th.

EDIT: Looking at the other predictions, either they thought the same or missed the fact he had a penalty.

admittedly i was unsure of how to do it should hamilton have grabbed pole, luckily i was saved that problem by rosberg
I think a lot of people are assuming he will cut through the field a bit and grab a higher position, hence the predictions of higher than 6th.
But it does depend on whether the actual grid order is taken, or the qualifying positions, generally i think people opted out of hamilton to be safe, i certainly did

I think it's clearly defined in the rules on page 1

Officially the driver who will be credited for taking Pole Position is the driver who starts first in the race, not necessarily the driver who's fastest in qualifying.
