My presentation:
With drivers and constructors standings championships 1st places settled in Interlagos we come to this modern track of Yas Marina. Formula 1 has never raced here. However there are still battles going on for constructors standings, McLaren and Ferrari to settle for 3rd place with 1 point in favor of the McLaren Mercedes team and also the battle for 6th position between Williams and Bmw-Sauber. There are also battles for drivers standings for 2nd place between Sebastian Vettel and Rubens Barrichello, also the battle between Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen for 5th position.

Here is preview lap that I found on youtube:

wooo! Kamui! Hopefully he can put in another strong performance. Shame it's not Trulli who's out, but still, hopefully Glock will get a seat next year!

I probably say this every thread but...

This is looking to be one of the best races!

RedBull clearly have sorted issues out on the slower stop-start circuits. Their car is probably quickest overall anyway! We then have Mclaren who were mighty at Valencia and well Lewis has been mighty for the whole 2nd half and it looks like a track which could play to their strengths, then we have the two Brawns! A track similar to Valencia, where they were as quick if not quicker than Mclaren (Jensons pace very good in clear air proving both cars had pace) and of course Jenson is pressure free.

IF Jenson gets qualifying right I think victory will be between him Vettel, Lewis and Barachello!

Force India could be an interesting one to watch too. And will Toyotas run of good races continue?

Hopefully a good end to an amazing season. The straight, supposedly the longest in F1 does not seem all that long on video :s!

Anyway, if it were my money id bet on a Lewis or Button victory... I'd edge it for Button though, as you'd expect :p

Kobayashi to score points too!

Hard to tell who'll be quickest here, with no prior knowledge and such a competitive field. In terms of similarity to other circuits it's probably closest to Valencia, so maybe we're looking at Brawn, McLaren and Ferrari being quickest with RedBull next up.

I just hope we get a quality race to round the season off. It's a long time(not since 2005) since we've gone to a GP with the WDC decided, so hopefully we'll get an "end of term" feeling and all the drivers will be that bit more relaxed and going for it.

@Jorge, don't worry man, that thread intro rocks!

Hope Kimi gets into the podium...long shot, but would be cool to see him on the podium one last time...after all, we don't know if he is staying or not :(

We're in the middle of a bloody desert and just on that one day in the year F1 races in Abu Dhabi, there is that one day in the year that it rains there? ;)
You didn't watch the MotoGP opener at Qatar then? ;)

Can't see it happening, tbh

;)

ah man, i miss fp1 due to lectures :(

Same :p!

But good lectures, and FP1 is usually abit of a timewaste. Back in time for FP2 though :D!

Just clarification...

This race, is it day to night, or day to dusk (say like testing?). So will we see full on day to full on night?

"Trulli was slowing down like he wanted to have a picnic" LOL
it starts about 45 minutes before sunset and it should be dark by the finish

Ah okay, thanks!

F1 is an exception haha! ;)

Oh and from the new briefs [en.f1-live.com] on F1 Live, The Goatee'd dude, Gino Rosato is leaving for Lotus.

Click the link to see Today's preview pictures of the GP:

NOTE: It has some sponsor logos in a few pictures if anyone needs help with making the track
Anyone know if this race will be broadcast in HD? It was speculated a while ago.
I must say though, the spectators on the grandstand in the hairpin have some awesome ass view. Also nice to see that the run offs are quite small for a modern track due to the new kind of barriers, also the paint on the run off on some places is a nice addition :P I quite like it actually.
