New Look for the Renault team!! Are we liking it?

Yes, hopefully we get a livery change by the end of the year, preferably back to the black/yellow/white scheme. Fitting Total into this scheme will be difficult though.

While I wish that the Renault car livery would change (and resemble the Renaults of old) they will probably remain the same for the rest of the year - all they've done with the clothing is probably ship out the simplest/cheapest/quickest/legalist designs they could do within a week because all the old team clothing is still plastered with ING and...that other sponsor that's withdrawn. They'll probably have a more presentable solution for Brazil.

I know there have been rules about car liveries for some time (I'm thinking BAR in 99 for instance), but when/why exactly did it become so difficult to alter your own livery through a season, out of interest?

Looks like they've raided the 50% off bin at a local Renault dealership.

They are sponsor less. The nose cone if you look now has that Russian "fonted" sponsor moved from the floor.



And Pepe Jeans has like gone too, since it used to be in the place where that new logo is

They'll retain their Technology partners but it seems unlikely that Renault could be fielding a car with sponsors next year. However, I could end up eating my words come January.

What, МегаФон? (Russian mobile company BTW ) Hmm, I thought it used to be on the side of the cockpit but that was that MM thing - so yeah, that's three large sponsors gone then. Renault had been trying to appeal to the Russian market for some time, perhaps they'll try to look there again for more support next year (not insinuating that Russian companies will have no issue with Renault cheating...)

Depends how soon people are willing to a) believe that it was all down to parties no long with the team and/or b) put it all in the past.

Something like Autosport's impression wouldn't go amiss! A return to the stripes!

they'd have a hard time accommodating Total orange or even Elf blue into their colors

at this stage of the game they don't have a superstar driver and may lack *some* funds for the development push for next year

Well the way I see it, as like the 80s Renault pic, I don't see why they can't just have the logo without the colour background - elf or Total on black or whatever I think would still work, unless they're too image conscious (which would be ironic).

But yes, will Renault look as bare as Brawn did earlier this season next year? As per divers, many people were linking Kubica but now I'm not sure he's so sure anymore.

Alonso's appearance reminds me of Dave Grohl since he grew that beard. He just needs to grow his hair longer now. :P

anyway the current liveryis like a mcdonald's-renault to me!,red/yellow/orange/white makes me easily see the colours of mustards, hotdogs and mayonnaise. they sure can eat more happy meals now since flav was gone.
