The Official 2009 Australian GP Thread *spoilers*

That's a pretty good summary. You'd certainly expect Ferrari and BMW to be up near the sharp end. But will Ferrari be running KERS in the opening races? Seems pretty risky, considering the problems they've had with it.

I will be, assuming I can sort the problems with the Freeview box I recently bought and set up, but is proving to be a b****rd to get to work :(

just enter 301 or 302 if the red button is playing up

Well, Honda did develop a KERS system, and a good one at that, but whether Brawn will ever make use of this is debatable. Certainly they've decided to go for the first few races without it. At Melbourne I don't think it'd be a disadvantage, but after that you're looking at 4 circuits where I feel it's a major advantage. So far only Renault have confirmed to using it in Melbourne, it's a good choice in my mind, they can treat Melbourne as a testing.

I say f**k my bodyclock, it's the last day of term, I ain't doing no sodding work, so I'll be sleeping most of the day, drinking til 3am, going to watch qualifying (probably not praccy), then sleeping most of Saturday, then watching the race!

The race should start 10-11pm Saturday my time, a lovely Saturday night :).

I always love Melbourne, Suzuka and Interlagos because those 3 have the best hours for me :P.
Interlagos here is in time to lunch :)

Just a week now :D. I can't wait!
I am so excited I could wee! Just think this time next week we will know who is on pole for the race!

i assume we will see the full brawn gp livery in a couple of days, complete with sponsor announcements!

Mmm, possible rain is forecast for next Sunday. Probably won't happen.

Here's a read on how Webber recovered from his broken leg...and fractured shoulder.

Ferrari are obviously confident they've sorted KERS. I expect Beamer to run it too.
What times does the race and all start? GPupdate says 8.00 am CET, thats like 5 hours later then it was in previous years??

Well no :P It used to start at 6 or so. But it's been moved to 5pm local time, so it's a bit later and the clock is being put forward, so that increases it even more. That time is right. I hope :P
This is why I hate clocks. You don't know who's waking up at what time
