You are. Wet races diminishes some of the advantages that fast cars otherwise give. It doesn't necessarily mean that fast drivers in slow cars can run at the front.

Maybe I'm missing something, but where's the contradiction?

Winkelhock last year might disagree with that. ;-)

You say looking for investors is pathetic, yet you tell them to find money?

How do you think other teams do it? Many teams have investors which buy into the team or just throw money at them and sit and wait to see how it goes before becoming a major investor (such as the Icelandic company that has several of its sub-companies sponsoring Williams this year).

It's either a big sponsor, which Aguri had until it fell through last year or investors which will get you the capital you need to go racing at this level.

Dude, read again. What they are doing now, is picking crumbles just so they can go PARTICIPATE. I said they should be looking for REAL investments, sponsors and whatever so that they can COMPETE. Just surviving is not the way to go in F1, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

and if you read the Weigl brief properly my good man, its a long term plan involving other investors linked to that company, not just themselves. This isn't just about surviving its about building a bridge for the future which they are trying to do but for Fry sticking his nose in.

well, i would think getting money to "PARTICIPATE" whilst they look for a "REAL" investor to allow them to "COMPETE" is a sensible "IDEA"

Using that theory we might as well just sit around playing with ourselves until Aguri Suzuki's legal team register to tell us what's going on.

It's a bloody discussion forum...

yes, but it was mostly because of a lucky strategy that he got the result, like vettel. iirc, those two made only one pitstop while others made the wrong tyre choices (;))and made several pitstops.

i'm sure Super Auguri's owner, (don't know the name of the guy) doesn't sit around and wait for whoever wants to invest.. is not that easy, he needs to find good money, so he can COMPETE, and it's hard to find in the middle of the season someone to invest in a back off the grid F1 team, and to invest good money, the guy had trouble to make it to Melbourne, i'm surprised he made it to barcelona, HOW?, because he's a F1 motorsport fan, who would do anything, even if it is "pickin crumbles" to make it to a F1 Grand Prix... he made it this far that way, is sad, but it's not his fault that at the last minute one of the companies breached the contract and made him loose all the money for this season..

Toyota were brand new, and you can hardly say Honda have been "mucking about"...
