He was only recently at... was it the BTCC at Snetterton?

Probably the most influential figure in F1 who wasn't involved as a competitor or a politician.

There are so many drivers still with us who would have otherwise died.

Top job, the guy should have been knighted.

That guy saved so many lifes. A huge example was Rubens Barrichello in that very sad weekend at Imola. I've never been able to read his book, but I've read an article he wrote on Senna for Reader's Digest, and also watched his part on the Senna documentary. That feeling he had, that conversation he had with Ayrton, gives me the creeps.

RIP Professor. You are with Ayrton now.

You will be sadly missed 'Prof' Sid Watkins. Thank you for your huge contribution to the safety of motor sport ........ the light may have finally dimmed but the memory will always be bright as ever.
