Anyone could tell me if the tyre shape are the same for the F1 seasons 85, 86, 87, 88, 89 (and 90 :-) )?

Thanks!

Yeah you're right, Taamaar, I just did a bit of googling and came up with these. It looks like the tyre dimensions stayed the same throughout 1985-1992, and didn't change until 1993...

1985:

1992 - the same as 1985:

1993 - it looks like the tyes have the same dimensions as today:

I also found this, which some of you may find interesting - it has photos of all of the championship winning cars until 2008 :)

in 2010 the front wheel dimension (width) was shrunk, for some silly reason,

can't remember the dimensions but the 09 (front) wheels are fatter than the 2010+11

Thanks guys. I think just wet tyres change the types, but the dimensions are the same from this years.

Thanks!

IIRC in 1980s: Rear 26" dia, 18" wide, front 25" dia

from 1993 rears 26" dia, 15" wide, fronts 26" dia

always 13" bead

width of the fronts is about 13" in those years
