If you're making the 2008 GP4 mod, make sure that helmet view is not that low!!:D

It's not realistic!:D
DC in Interlagos, don't think it's a spoiler.

Gotta love F1. 8 years later than CART, and it shows even less!

but then it wont be realistic ;)

isn't this in the wrong section :s

either way, that cam is way too low, it needs to be some where round the visor.
Well, better late than never... It's positioned just where the visor ends. It'd be quite hard to get the real drivers view meanwhile not to trouble their driving by covering up some part of visor.

I checked back in the Interlagos GP thread where red5 said Mark Blundell wore helmet cam as early as 1994 race in Spa Franchochamps during friday practice.

In the days when drivers head movement was much more intense than today. Viewers could see sh*T so they didnt use it afterwards.

And apparently he's right, little search produced this

Actually you can see more than with DC', as his is bellow the eyes level.

nah, I intentionally put it here and played it off as a joke

/Since I don't see some of the guys in GP4 forum, I didn't want them to be left out

//it's a GP4 site afterall;-)

Thing is in those times, the side of the cockpit were way lower meaning you can put the cam at the side of the helmet and it wouldn't be a problem.
This helmet cam is still work in progress by FOM. Dont worry im sure next year it will be in a suitable postion.

Ah, i thought it was a mistake hehe
I guess the helmet cams bck in 94 were crap b/c they didnt have the HANS device did they so their head would be moving so much more like said.

I really liked the camera, shows the extreme movement of the drivers head in the cars, think next year it will be a great addition to the camera views (which i think have been brilliant this year, especially the one mounted on the wheel arm looking back at the car and the driver).

More incar shots please mr director!

LS's Tip of the week
ESSENTIAL OILS aren't essential unless you're an engine, a gearbox or a twat

Thanks Sim :)

Renault have got it spot on with the helmet cam. I think its positioned in one of air vents of the arai helmets.
