what a diff'rence a year made

the purpose of this thread is to find out what was the ugliest f1 car ever in comparison to it's predecessor:

my suggestion is fairly easy and predictable MP4-10 compared to MP4-9

Hmm not sure, maybe the FW19 to the FW20.. or Ferraris F2004 to the 2005, which had one messed up nose :p

In terms of liveries, I'd say Honda RA106 to RA107

Ferrari '95 to Ferrari '96 for me.

In fact, most '95 cars to their '96 comparators.

no way lotus 1991 to 1992 , are you out of your mind, that one from 1991 looked like an elephant.

or you have just missed the point, the succesor must be ugly one.

thing is there is no "best" or "worst" looking car, there are just opinions. imho.

1968 was not only the year downforce was introduced as a major factor in the design process, but to many also killed off F1 as a sport. 1968 was the first year with sponsorship - it was the year that the low-budget entry into the premier of motor-racing started it's downhill spiral. Today such cars look great - the Lotus 49b in it's Gold Leaf livery is still a classic... but compared to the classic Lotus colours of the previous year?

Super Aguri SA05 to the Super Aguri SA06, Jaguar R4 to th R5(loved the R5 livery), and the orginal Red Bull that had the can livery on the Jaguar R5 before the RB1 came out.
