The 1st one's pretty funny.

In the last one, does anyone know what the music is that's in the background?

Lemming, the tune is called "Absurd" by Fluke. i found this out after asking for it on a Top Gear forum a few months ago, and it's also been used in The Bourne Identity.

and what was JPM looking for in the track at night? "Spike"?

and Ben Edwards sounded good on the Michigan 500 race, he sounded enthusiastic and excited without being fake like James Allen.

They'll record it from TV, I'm guessing they've got that subscription that lets them use the interactive options, Germany I think it is you can get it (Premiere).

Ben Edwards is great, I remember him from the Eurosport coverage of the 1996 F1 races I have on dvd with John Watson beside him. They made a great team.

How come Eurosport showed it too? And did they stick ads in? Because if they did, I doubt anyone would watch it when BBC had it ad free at the same time! :s

Eurosport were great at covering F1. They damn near showed everything about the race weekend. By Sunday the delighted viewer, (me), was suffering from a surfeit of fantastic detail. ITV, since taking over F1, have been a crushing disappointment as far as coverage goes. Murray Walker, Brit commentator until he retired was the best thing about ITV's handling of the coverage, knew his stuff and was enthusiastic to boot.
Nah, if Eurosport took it back over I'd subscribe to SKY just to watch it! And I loathe that pocket-picking, smarmy, greedy cow, Murdoch.
Thanks for reminding me what a pigs ear our,(Brit), coverage is, now! Sometimes the best bits are watching Brundle elbow other TV interviewers out of the way, finishing their segment there and then, and taking over the driver, or Bernie, or anyone else he wants to talk to.
I remember his 'golden gonads' comment from trackside in his early days of commentating and the dead, shocked, silence that followed it, before someone in the studio, sounding a bit flustered, replied to him. I was rolling about on the floor holding my sides, thinking, 'Aw, there goes his commentating job.' Luckily, they kept him on. :)

and i miss f1 digital, eurosport in the early 90's also showed every practise every race but also had ads but they were short and not every 5 laps.

tbh itv have got worse as the years have gone on, i thought last year was bad coverage but this year is even worse. In the build up prog they have an hour maybe 1 or to ad breaks yet come the race well we see more ads than race :(

y dont they just have a break every 45 mins like football y so many its so stupid.

Hungry they missed kimi crash, they missed vital pit stops and thats happened a number of times this year. The predicted stops will be lap 15 so what do they do ad break lap 14 and come back on lap 17

Yeah I feel sorry for you guys. We get a delayed telecast so Channel 10 are able to pause the race, slot in their ads, then restart the race exactly where we left off. It means we miss nothing, even if James shuts his trap for a few seconds, which is no bad thing.

yeah that would be a good idea, i wouldn't be against pausing the broadcast for the ads, i mean a delay of a total of 25 or so minutes come the end of the race is not too bad.

and of course they put more ads in during the actual race, as that is when they are likely to have more viewers to watch them.
