Yes. Nakajima always ensured he got number 3 when he was at Tyrrell as 4 is considered to be unlucky in Japan.

I don't think it was poor form - for Sato, it was ok. Trouble is, Sato is fundamentally @#$%& in comparision....

Due to the voting system in Germany, Governments are always made up of coalitions of different parties. At the last election, an almost unprecidented result saw the CDU/CSU (rough equivilant of the Conservatives) go into Government with the SPD (rough equivilant of Labour)

obviously Button's fault

He could have let Sato have the number 3.

Load of crap. Sato would have gone kamikaze anyway. Whether he had 4,3 or 63. He's a crap Japanese driver. Nuff said. Get someone from Japan who actually doesn't make F3 mistakes, or kamikaze moves to overtake.

I agree that Sato is a very bad F1 driver. He may have had some success in F3 because the races were much shorter. After a few laps he tries to win the race by eliminating the competition. Just like my nephew in GP4.

This funny story about number 4 being considered unlucky in Japan makes sense. Katayama had the number 3 in 1994 while Blundell had the number 4. In Brazil, there are no cars with the number 24, as it it is the number of the deer in the ilegal but popular animal lottery. I know that in some places the deer is a symbol of virility but here it means you are gay. I took my kids to a Harry Potter movie once and the crowd laughed a lot when one of his charms produced a deer!

I think your being unfair to sato

There have been plenty of crap drivers in F1, Minardi and jordan have been some of the worst culprits in recent years

One thing Sato brought to the sterile corporate world of F1 was entertainment

F1 is no longer the sport it once was, we have corporate robots like Kimi that do what they have to do with no emotion

I personally feel that F1 has lost a character, ok he might not be a fantastic driver but i will miss him purely from a entertainment point of view

Like Schumi said Sato needs therapy. Or maybe yoga or something, might help calm his kamikaze brain perhaps ;)

sato was cool, my little little little cousin watched f1 for the first time last year, watched 10 mins of qualifying and the whole race.

for the rest of the holiday, one thing he picked out on his own accord was satos dodgy driving! plus a load of silly sayings about 'doing a sato' and 'whats the game plan today boss.... er dont bother mate, just pit it after the first lap'

ok not that funny but for a first time f1 watcher at that age he got it bang on the spot id say ;)

C'mon! The reason KIMI looks like a robot is he is usually suffering from a massive hangover. I don't know many people who look energetic when coming off a bender....
