my county is with Boraders with Turky,so i am considering attedning my first live Grand Prix.
does anybody body been there last year?,because i need to know the prices of the tickes.
i wish the whole thing with the 30 hours bus trip dosn't cost more that 500$
because that is pretty much a fortune in my country (well for me at least)
and it will take me ages to be able to collect it.
and i was thinking maybe we all agree to go to the same GP.

several of my online racing friends (of the last 6 years!!) :O have previosuly met up at grand prix weekends and have had an amazing time!

this year possibly but most likely next year i think more of us will try and organise a meet up at silverstone weekend, or a european destination such as nurburgring, hockenheim, france or spa.

its odd when you know them like a friend down the road, and know their face and voice from msn, yet have never met them in the flesh.

No sleeping ON the track unless you're a mad Irish priest.

they might have camp sites in the grounds of the track, where you could take your own tent and stay there.

Have you bought your ticket yet?

Because I've been to the British GP 2 times, and I won't be going again to be honest. I fell asleep in the race! Going to races is overrated.

if there is a camp site like this, you can stay night and day there, but during the day, you'll be at the track, so you'll only be in your tent in the evening and to sleep:

there might be one there at the track especially for fans to travel and stay there, because hotels and transport is expensive. of course you have to take your own tent and equipment, which you can either buy or rent.

seeing F1 live is something you should do at least once in your life, it will blow you away, but i'm not sure if its worth 8 months wages, thats only something you can judge for yourself once you have experienced it.

Muks is right, think more about it. It is a great experience, you'll have your mouth open the whole time, just feeling "dumb" due to it. I was like that at Indy, it's beautiful.

Not to mention, the third time I went (2003) I took a picture with this gorgeous gridgirl who stole my heart with a single sentence :P

yes what you buy is a 'weekend ticket' which from my experience at spa and silverstone is basically like a pass for the circuit during opening times on the race weekend, ie fri, sat and sunday.

you can go to the track when it first opens to the public and leave at the last hours if you want.

during the day there might well be touring car races, formula ford, porsche supercup or whatever other things (a few years back I watched a cycling races at spa up eau rouge :| very weird! - it lasted 4 hours round the entire circuit lol!!!)

but as turkey is a new track im unsure of other races that take place.

im only aware of silverstone, donnington, brands hatch and spa, and the daytime was filled with things to watch every other hour or so.

where do you currently live, is turkey the nearest track?
