you can find full races in emule. In Spain, Warner Home Video sell after each GP a DVD with the full race and qualy. If you search for them in spanish you will find them easier

I mean that these DVD's are released in Spain, so if you search fot Italian GP, probably you won't find anything. It will be better if you search for "Gran Premio de Italia".

BTW I would rather not pay money for it and a mid-res quality is much more enough:)

you'll be lucky if you can download it for free. The FOM look everywhere for sites that allow free Formula 1 video downloads. They think they will lose money and can take people to court.

The FOM shouldn't bitch about that. With free movies on the internet, the chance is bigger you accidently see a F1 race and think 'hmm, that's interesting, is it on tv? Hey, it is! Let's watch it!' or someting.

I believe you have misunderstood me. What I say is that because in Spain those DVD's are sold, some people share them in the emule network. Of couse, totally free.

Any video that depicts a Formula One car on a racing track during a race weekend is still property of FOM and the event promoter. Whether it be captured off the official braodcast, or filmed by yourself, sharing thse pictures is illegal and against copyright laws.

But it also depends on some country laws. Here in Canada, as soon as you film something, or take a photograph, or even just draw anything whether it be based on something that already exists, you're the owner of that media. Which means that they can bitch as long as they want about my Canadian GP self-filmed videos, I'm still legally owner of what I caught :)

i would suggest torrents, as they're perfectly legal. problem is they dont last, so you'd have to move quickly and unfortunately, most of the 2005 races are long dead.

i cant see how the FOM are losing money if they never release the race on any sort of media afterwards. i'd love to have old races such as spa 98 or whatever. if i could, i'd buy that dvd from the guy on ebay. thats what FOM could do. i'd be glad to pay for old races. but, alas, its torrents for me until such an event happens...

Thing is, I could not pay any money and watch the race live on ITV, or I could not pay any money and download the race.

hmmm, no money going to FOM there...
