Suzuki enters 11th team for 2006

Former Grand Prix driver Aguri Suzuki has revealed that he is the man behind the much-talked-about, Honda-linked, 11th team. Suzuki has lodged an application for the team to compete in the 2006 world championship and is in driver talks with Takuma Sato. However, Suzuki is likely to have to wait until December to find out whether his application is accepted and even then he admitted he will face a race against time to get on the grid next season.

I'm concered about the chassis as they will have to use BAR's '04 one and as far as the Concorde agreement goes isn't allowed. How will that be overcome?

If it happens then I'll be happy. More cars is always good.:)

He had better hurry up and get some cars and drivers sorted because so far he has tyres, engines, and an empty factory....

Thay can ask to Dome to build their car, in their factory. But they need to have the design rights of the car. Maybe there is someone already designing it. I hope so.

But as they cannot use the BAR car I think they won't be near anybody in the first race.

This rule dosen't make sense to me. You cannot use someone car, but you can have a V10 when everbody will use V8 (I know with lower revs and tec, but anyway...).

Hope they will be in the first race, so we have 22 car again!!! McLaren B will just race 2007.

sauber used the plans for the car, built the car themselves and made some changes it was all in autosport.

this team can use the bar plans build the cars and make changes and they will be ok.

We'll technically, no, they cant.

They have to buy the rights of the chassis design to use it as a base, thats how it works. But buying a 007 chassis design with known aero problems, a car that was only really good for midfield and cap it all off with a completely different desgined engine unit and youve prbably got a back of the grid car.

as opposed to what? A car they've built and designed in 3 months?! Its gotta be a better base than nothing at all.

I think it would be funny if he uses his Last name instead the first.

Imagine the team beeing called Suzuki-Honda.

6 cars will be eliminated from each of the first 2 15 minute sessions, still leaving 10 for the last part.

if another team is entered, 6 cars will still be eliminated from the first 2 sessions, leaving 12 for the last bit.

it may be me being cynical, but looks like all the cost cutting effort from Honda resulted in them running a second team
