that isnt that bad actually. IMO its harder to go from a car to bike than it is the other way around, there is so much more you have to take into account such as front/rear brakes and body positioning

I think thats bad to be honest when rossi was 2 secs off MS time after a day. Maybe going from cars to bikes is harder.

suppose u feel safer in a car and also maybe ms did not take risks as a fall could break bones

Yep, i think so, it is harder to change car to bike.

and rossi was driving ferrari in fiorano IIRC, that track is only around 3 kilometers long and the mugello track is 5 kilometers long, so fiorano is easier to learn and I think that it's harder switching from f1 car to a motogp than the other way around

hell of a lot harder to go from car to bike

remember rossi has driven cars prob for years

schuey has never ridden a bike much before

then think about it- u have 2 less wheels!!!! so to balance the thing on the edge and ride it fast takes years of practice

copied from the other thread:

Following the trail blazed by MotoGP superstar Valentino Rossi, Michael Schumacher switched disciplines on Monday, trading his Ferrari Formula 1 car for a grand prix motorcycle.

Schumacher spent the day testing a Ducati Desmosedici MotoGP bike at the Mugello circuit in Italy.

According to reports, he played himself in gently initially, lapping in the 2m40s range, before stepping up the pace and getting down to approximately 2m10s by the end of his run.

That compares to the pole position time of 1m49.223s at this year

btw how Todt did give permission for Schumacher to drive motogp bike bacause Schumi have wanted to do that many years!? Those bikes had even smaller engines (it was gp500) when Todt didnt allow it in last millenium..

Edit im not sure was that same 3-seater but:

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

It's different riding a bike and going to a track with top performance, driving on the limit.

BTW, Barrichello once tried Barros bike (when he raced for Pons with West sponsor).

A brazillian photographer heard about it and headed to Interlagos to take some pictures, but he never gave it to the press because Barrichello could get on trobule for riding a bike without Ferrari permission.

But this photographer had a picture of it in his wall in the office.

Another thing, Ricardo Rosset showed up in this day and wanted to try it too, bamn, in the first corner, after the back straight of Interlagos he felt and destroyed the bike!!!
