BAR-Honda and Jenson Button are in for a rough reception from the Japanese crowds at Suzuka next month.

The Daily Mirror newspaper reports that the Japanese fans are furiously preparing banners with anti-Button slogans after confirmation that their hero Takuma Sato will be dropped by BAR at the end of the season.

When Button finally managed to extricate himself from his Williams contract earlier this week, it ended Sato

he's been absolute crap this year, for me the worst driver by far, and they've been pretty civil to him, in most teams you'd be out and new talent being found. Its no wonder they love JB so much if he's the only one getting points!

Apparently Toyota are quite keen on placing him at Midland - get one over on Honda

Toyota don't him - he's a Honda man. GP2 teams wouldn't look at him. :P

Japanese fury...why? Perhaps those Japs should take a look at his relative performances this year before making up those signs. HOw about something like "THANK YOU Honda for putting up with Sato's crap all these years"

Exactly Noel.

Im sure Ferrari will hire TS at some point, as they tend to go for driver's who are willing to ram other poeple off the road. ;)

I don't really get why the Japanese are pissed off. When Jordan dropped TS at the end of 02, they couldn't care less and were leaping for joy because he finished 5th.

To all Japanese TS fans: Surely all that matters is that he has a good race and a good finish at his home GP? He was never going to stay at BAR forever. Root the poor little bugger on!

I don't see why they should vent their 'hate' onto BAR or Button.

if Sato hasn't done as good a job as is expected, or as well compared to his teammate, and is therefore out of a drive for next season, its tough sh*t.

if it was announced that Button or DC was to be dropped, everyone at Silverstone wouldn't show 'hatred' to BAR/Red Bull, would they? its just part of life.

@ Paul, Exactly Noel.

I don't get it.
