Don't be bad...
Is funny to hear pilots speaking english. Trulli is funny.
Raikkonen is difficult to follow... Speaks without opening his mouth and very looooooooooow......

- In spanish V is phonetically identical to B.

Actually most Spanish spoken people don't make any difference between b and v when we speak :p (and if they (we) are from other Spanish-spoken country other than Spain itself, they (we) scarcely make any difference among s, c and z)

Give some JP Montoya statements a try ;)

Lesson 2: How to handle a press conference

Just follow this simple standard dialogue, and any interviewer will quickly switch off :)

"I'm pleased with the result. After Qualifying we were optimistic, and things turned out pretty good in the race. The team did a great job with the car, and I'd like to thank our tyre suppliers as well because the tyres lasted perfectly all race. Hopefully we can be just as competitive for the next race".

all drivers are boring when they talk. Except Dc, who's always tragically optimistic. Eddie Irv was hilarious

i remember in Austria 1999 in the race PC
i was so angry for what coulthard did to Hakkinen and the way he let Eddie win
an Eddie was asked in the press conffrence (not exact qoutes its been 8 years)
Q: in the first laps we saw smoke coming out of your car ..talks to us about that"
Eddie: "actually the somke was from my head...."
and thats made me laugh like a chicken...

Vader - ah yes, monologue would be the correct word there :) Also 'monotone' would fit quite nicely.

The Kimi quote is more like

"Car, qualify, tyre, race, good, problem, pitstop, third, finish"

At least thats all I can ever make out.

As a natural Finnish speaker I can say that English is very hard language for us, as it's totally different language compared to Finnish. Hardest part for us is pronouncing.

I can write pretty good English when I want to, but now way I would be able to speak so well, probably you won't understand anything.

If you think Kimi speaks bad English, you should try to speak Finnish yourself. Then you know how hard it is to speak a completely different language, even if you can handle grammar and other thing well.
