We know both Williams drivers have fitness issues and Pizzonia is going to imola.
In a freak situation, both drivers withdraw from the race, soooo..

Who would you put in the second car??

Pay Ferrari to hire Gene.

Due to the voting system in Germany, Governments are always made up of coalitions of different parties. At the last election, an almost unprecidented result saw the CDU/CSU (rough equivilant of the Conservatives) go into Government with the SPD (rough equivilant of Labour)

Take a punt on a rookie like Scott Speed or Heikki Kovalainen if I could get them.

the cost to get them would be the same as Gene, who knows teh team and probably aspects of the car too.

Im sure theres plenty of drivers reacing for "lesser" teams that would be wiliang to take a chance, remember heidfeld was looked at last year, but at the time they already had Pizza boy on hand,so didnt fork out a ludicrous amount for heidfeld, (£3 million for 1 race EJ was asking)

Put Jacques Villeneuve back in the Williams.

LS has probably got a second car in the garage at home, ready to be started up :)

I'd probably try and get Olivier Panis or Anthony Davidson. Panis would be great because he has so much experience, and Davidson is just begging for a race drive. And he's English, which FW really likes.

Buy Button out of BAR? Though I'd like to see Davidson in a car which doesn't blow up on lap 3...

panis is still contracted as tester for toyota, so I dont think that's likely. Any chance of Klien getting in there?

no chance for Klien, surely?

I'd have thought that RBR would want to keep hold, especially as it would leave them with no third driver for the race.

I still maintain that one of Ferraris testers could step in - Gene in particular, but possibly Badoer - for the right fee...;)

plenty of drivers they could try, give someone a chance who is A not a red bull sponsored driver, and B a renault backed driver!, maybe piquet jnr wouldnt be a bad idea, but given personal choice, i would plump for robbie kerr though.

Have to agree, JV would be a waste. I do feel for him though, he's not getting any time in the car compared to Massa, its almost as if Peter Sauber decided JV was bad at Australia, and won't let him improve, so he has a reason to dump him. Give the chap some mileage in the car, its the only way he'll improve. But he has been closing uop on Massa, maybe he'll have a good race/
