Kimi has traded his Arai in for a Schuberth!!! why!?

just been looking at testing pics. Kimi is wearing a schuberth helme(as worn by M&R Schumacher,Barrichello etc)

i dont know why more and more drivers are wearing these horrible helmets. must have some sufficent gains in aero performance or saftey.

Kimi used to wear an Arai GP5 (like i have) which is a lovely helmet to wear. really lightwieght, comfortable and stylish.

Oh, and dont get me started on why Panis has swap his Bell Helmet for a crappy Sparco-Peltor!!!!!!

anyone else noticed this or am i just down right sad????

The ones Michael and Ralf wear can survive a tank running over them. They are the safest F1 helmets currently avalible, so i see no reason why Kimi or anyone else) should not use them

Schuberths are no doubt the best helmets out there. Everyone should wear them.

They give 10 extra hp.Better flow.



Everything in the past is better than today.It's true,I read it on the internet.

The Arai GP5 has 125+ health, and if you shoot it with teh ak47 it takes 65 health off, on teh other hand the schuberth has 150 health and even if it gets hit with the AWP it still only loses 40hp.....

the Schuberts are bulletproof, but you have to be a very good hunter to hit the helmet and it looks a bit silly when you're in the crowd on the stands with a shotgun

I agree with iceman.... Arai helmets are the most beautiful and confortable helmets out there....

I´m sure all those guys are receiveing lots of money to wear that ugly helmet.... it may be bullets proof and stuff, but that´s not necessary in F1, no one is going to play CS on the drivers....

They make it bullet proof so If a driver gets hit by debris or even crashes no damage is done to the driver. Wasn't the theory of Senna dying, the wheel struck him in the head?

it went through the visor if i remember correctly

no the susspension went through it and i dont think any thing can stop that no matter what u wear.

a suspension puchrod went thru the helmet above his left eye i think.
