A sad loss for football. Bobby Robson always struck me as a particularly "human" and likeable manager, and his achievements with the England team(1990 World Cup in particular) were impressive, probably not least because he would've taken the time to look after the players properly and understand them.
Yeah it's sad news but like Gav said the charity match was perfect timing. It was nice they had that and also getting the life time achievement award at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards (think that's what he won anyway). I mainly know him through being Newcastle manager, I think I was a bit young to remember him as England coach. RIP
