Susie and Lauda (both driving for Persson Motorsport) are both way of pace of Gary Paffett, who drives for Persson to, and as your teammates are your first competitors they are both doing quite bad.

Susie Stoddart sure does drive an *old* Mercedes as well, but due to the decision of mercedes to only use 2008 and 2007 cars this season , her car is one year younger than Katherine´s
DTM just isnt the right place for most Open Wheel drivers....Take Aleis or Hakkinen. Sure they´ve both won a race or two but all in all they were nowhere compared to the established touringcar drivers.

It goes otherwise to, Albers was more a touringcar driver, should never went for f1.

HA! Like Tony will let his precious jewel be messed with in anyway. He needs the shitty drivers to wreck into people for ghost yellows when his precious stars need them.

I'm not sure if your being sarcastic or what, but if Tony needed more yellows then he could easily play the NASCAR Debris Caution card and have one whenever he wanted.

Tony doesn't need anything anymore. All he needs to do is sit back and watch it roll in. Dallara have a new chassis coming, circuits like Road America and Portland want to be part of his series. He has more potential events than what he can actually run. He has a big enough grid for bump-day to actually mean something now, despite the weakness of the CCWS teams at the current time. He has the top single seater series in the US, which, like CART beforehand is now the aim for single seater drivers in the US.

There will always be bad drivers in any series, but just wait for garbage to be filtered out over the next 2-3 seasons and then drivers like Legge and Dangerous Dan will have no hope of getting back in.

just watched the long beach race and its a shame they ruined the coverage by dropping 'Danica' into nearly every sentence, and then spent the last 10 minutes of the race talking to her rather than focusing on the race

seems the espn team couldnt give a monkey's about champ car, seems its going to be all Danica from now on :(

So ESPN's become The Danica Channel, much like ITV's become The Lewis Channel and BBC2's become The Toseland Channel. The race wasn't that bad, I quite like the circuit and the way it's changed since becoming an IRL / Champcar circuit from the F1 days, but it was getting a little boring towards the end. Can't believe Wilson went out towards the start with an engine problem. The commentary was quite forced IMO, Scott Goodyear's in the same category as Martin Brundle I think. Good knowledge of the cars and technologies, just next to a sh*t sidekick.
