It's solid, but nothing earth-shattering.

its more solid than schumacher at least. he doesnt even have the guts to try something like this, let alone succeed like rossi is doing. rossis is the most talented motorsport champion of the past 10-15 years.

I got to agree with that!

Finishing 11th in a car which isnt that great, on inferior tyres and on a very difficultn fast rally takes some doing.

So more talented than Mansell, Senna or Prost?

How many WRC cars were out there? 11th by itself is good but needs to be put into context - if there were 50 WRC cars, then well done. If there were only 11 finishers, then....

Still seems like a good job though.

Due to the voting system in Germany, Governments are always made up of coalitions of different parties. At the last election, an almost unprecidented result saw the CDU/CSU (rough equivilant of the Conservatives) go into Government with the SPD (rough equivilant of Labour)

Yeah, but most of those 39 will have been Group A, Group N, J-WRC etc.

I was at the rally and there were @#$%& all WRC cars. Probably didnt help that i attended stages late in the day so most of them had crashed out but still there were less than 10 that i saw.

Heres a video i got on day 3 second to last stage [sil3ntwar.com]

solberg and the subaru sucks at present.. they need to improve something cruel

WRC is in a poor state at the mo with very few quality entries. Subaru are a disgarce to them selves at the moment, things are so bad Solberg wanted to finish the season early so they could concentrate on next year!

I havent heard that one, vesuvius - surely Gigi Galli would be their top choice?

Mitsubishi will be back with a works effort in 2009. The rumour ive heard on the btccpages rally forum is that Ralliart will enter two cars next year but not in all of the rallys.

so far there is only rumours about Märtin's return with Mitsubishi so until something official comes out I can't say anything sure about that.
