British 24 hour Karting 23rd to 24th of August 2008

Well the year has passed and it's time to see if I can break anymore ribs after last years shinanigans!

I'm entred again although this year with a much better team. Just wondering if anyone else from here is racing or planning on popping over to Teesside Autodrome over the weekend to see the spectacle?

How much was entry to a 24hr kart race

£900 including the Kart hire, fuel, tyres and Mechanics.

We had a nightmare during the night. A clutch went on the left engine then 9 hours later it needed a total stripdown of the Carb due to waterlogging. One of my team mates had the fuel tank leak and petrol burnt his legs. All this dropped us right down the order which was a shame as we qualified 4th in class and was running asd high as 2nd at one point. Still not sure where we finished, I think it was 28th overall and about 17th in class

Never mind we'll be back next year. Somtimes the luck just doesn't go your way

This event... do you need to have a competition license to enter, or is it a open event and you can just rock up and drive (with all the obvious briefings etc)
