WinME was the OS that I went with when I bought my computer last year and it works fine on my system, especially with GP3. So I never had any reason to change. Of course, like many other people, I had that frequent hard drive accessing in the beginning that caused the game to stutter on every lap. Then I found this ten step solution that eliminated that problem:

Morbid, I agree, this autocentering thing is awful. We really need an option for it to turn off. And its funny.... when this thread was created, mine wasn't autocentered... but now it is.
