USB to Joystick port adpapter - please help

I have an older style MS FF wheel but now have a PC without a joystick port - only USB

Can anyone please tell me if and where I could get a cheap adapter.
Is there a 'daughter board and cable' I could buy to plug inside the wheel, as the wheels must be mostly the same design?

Many thanks

Julian

You could get a gamecard which offers a standard gameport for the joystick. Or buy a decent soundcard.

There might be some PCMCIA-cards for laptops availble that offer gameports, but I don't know. After all these thingies were not really designed as gaming platforms. Do a search at [www.google.com] or ask your local retailer.

You should be able to find port replicators around at electronic stores. But joystick to USB might be hard to find, you could always find someone who could make you one ;-).
