Mph in grand prix 3

I have a question:I watch youtube videos of grand prix 3 and theirs car reach more to 300 mph but in my

game I reach to 220 mph(aproximately).Why?

Because their speedometers are reading in km/h, not mph! :P

you might check your setup. frontwing, backwing and gears....

maybe you are using a physics-file (.g3p) that has insufficient enginepower?

maybe solve it by:
a) using gpxpatch and point it to a better .g3p-file (there´s a 1980´s in downloadsection "Misc" for a quicktest)
or
b) make your own .g3p-file with "GP3 Physics Editor"
or
c) use Gp3Edit to rise your enginepower (if you´re on GP3 v1.13)

sorry, I don´t use v1.13, so I don´t know if a),b) worx in v1.13..
if you´re on v1.13: c) would probaly be the easiest way to do this

I can see two other reasons for that :

1- I had an issue like that some times ago. It was related to the graphic card.
I had to unplug the graphic card, run the comp once, then re-plug the graphic card and recalibrate the game to resolve it.

2- Your game is in Miles per hour instead of Km per hour.

..how did you come to this solution?? trial and error?

If I remember correctly there was a thread somewhere in this forum talking about that. The search button was of some help to me.

The only explaination I can come up with is that you're speedometer is reading in MPH and everyone else's is reading in km/h

...because if your speedo was reading in km/h, your top speed would only be about 130 MPH, which is pathetic by F1 standards.

i've read it thats why i said to check your setup. Also, like pirx mentioned, look with gp3edit to your bhp.
