Hi,

could you be more precise on what is your problem ?

For what I understand, your maps are jpeg files. You must first convert them in bmp files (use for example Photoshop or The Gimp) and resize them to be a square picture.
Then in Track Editor go to File menu > Underlay Bitmap and find your bmp map where you save it (only one map). You will have to resize it to fit as close as possible the actual size of the real track.

What else ?

If your maps are in bmp format, they are suitable for trackmaking.
What do you mean by saying TE failed to create anything ? What did you try to create that failed ?

Did you first load a track in TE to use it as a base for your own track ?

And/or :

Which version of TE do you use ?

Hi again,

it's possible your map is on the upper-left side of the track in TE (that's what it did to me).
In the left panel of TE clic on the [+] corresponding to your track and do the same with the last line (Misc Config). You should have something like this :

If the first two values (POSITION) are 0 just change them to something else (for example 100) so you could see where is your map. Obviously, you'll have to adjust these values to fit the positioning of the map on your track.

In the same way, your map could be too small to be seen. Change the third and fourth values of the Misc Config panel (SCALE) to higher values the same way than before.
Maybe the map is realy too small so you have to go back to your Photoshop/Gimp/Whatelse and make a bigger picture of it (at least 500 x 500 and better should be 800 x 800 or 1000 x 1000).

If this doesn't solve your problem, just tell in a step by step way what you did exactly from "converting to bmp" 'till "Could not create anything!!!!!!!!!!" ;-)

Cheers
