Closed-cockpit Ferrari F40 carshapes etc... any luck?

Has anyone managed to get a closed-cockpit carshape working without crashing the game? I have a nice looking Ferrari F40 shape I downloaded a long time ago that I want to use with a great looking cockpit layer thingy for gpx but is always causes a crach before the first corner on any track. I know GP3 is not really meant to be anything other than an open cockpit game but I wonder if anyone has managed to crack this one before?

Hi Helmut

Your email encouraged me to have another try and I succeeded! I used the old trick of cutting and pasting in a fresh copy of the gp3.exe (one that hadn't been so heavily patched).

The shape has a few bugs, but is is certainly very usable. I am inspired to have a go at making an FIA GT 1997 or 1996 carset to go with it for F40s, Mclaren F1s, Porsche 911s and Mercedes CLKs etc.

I'll need to dig out lots of photos online and scan lots of photos from my collection of Autosports (I have every copy from 1985-2005!).

Carsets for the Ferrari F40 carshape sounds great, please do so...

This little project will be perfect for the closed cockpit, hope you will be able to make it

I made some attemps with this carshape, if I have my PC again I will send you some files, Philip.
Your project sounds very promising.
