Lot of lag

Hey dudes

I got a problem : I'm running GP3 with a Core 2 Duo 1.6ghz, 3gb of ram, and a GeForce 8600m GT. And I got a lot of lag...why ?

I suggest you close and applications you don't need, using Task Manager, then Processes.

Are you using gpx_patch? If so, set cpu to 1, then disable hyperthreading in your bios, also, set gp3 to run in win98 compatibility mode, same also for gpx. That might help somewhat, though your problem is unusual. Can you run BF2 and COD4 no problems? Is Norton on your system?

In fact, I got lag only when there's opponents on track...it might be a problem with my Core 2 Duo since the IA is controlled by the processor.
GP3 and GPXPatch run already on 98 compatibility mode, and I don't have Norton :/

did you choose proccesor 0 or 1 in gpx patch

if it is still on setting "all" you can have that problem

you have to point out whitch processor you gonna use

it's the graphics card, the 8600 is a directx 10 card, the only fix is to run a directx 9 card, there's a list posted of cards that work.

but the card is dx10 enabled, that's the problem
