Elio's GP3 Mega Patches - 1981, 1985, 1991, 1998, 2002 & 2009

Hi all

At long last I have got some space on Google Drive for my Mega Patches. Soon I will be uploading Mega Patches for 1981, 1991, 1998, 2002 and 2009.

For now you can play the completed version of Mega Patch 1985 (version 2).

In the long term I will also add F1 1994, 1987 and a range of others as I get around to them.

Thanks to all those that made items that I have assembled. My original bits are the menus, team art, music, visors, arms, legs, steering wheels and about 25% of the JAMs. Don't forget the READ ME file.

Mega patch also includes an AVI of the season review, excel sheets for the results and lots more!

Great job !

I noticed that the cars don't go in the pits but crash in the barriers at Silverstone.
Do you have the same ?

Its fun to watch cars crash going into the pits ... but no, seriously, this track was supplied in the 1983 track pack by Ettore and I have had problems too so I supplied an alternative Silverstone and Paul Ricard too which I also had a problem with.

Coming next, hopefully tonight, F1 1991 Megapatch.

Cars crashing entering and/or exiting the pits is usually related to a wrong value in the MD file.
Check "sector to pit in 1" and "sector to pit in 2" and change the values.
Then reinsert the MD file.

Look out for my version of Phoenix, which has received a lot of compliments for the horizon Jams in the past.
Before I uploaded I forgot to change back Brands Hatch (which I was testing) for Interlagos 1991, but I am sure you know how to do that in GPxPatch.

Here is the F1 1998 Mega Patch. Like the 2002 patch it is based around 'GP Season 2000' and is heavily dependent on Belini's work for the tracks. Menus, team art, cockpit bits (wheels, arms, legs etc) are my own.

I got the 1985/1991 ones going and the processor occupancy is 800 constantly....I have an Nvidia 650gtx card and 8gbs of ram...surely this cannot happen?

My resolution is 1366x768.

Might be to do with the 'gconfig' file which is set to suit my graphics card. Make sure it is not set to read only and allow your computer to reconfig to your graphics card.

Otherwise check the numerous threads about fixing high PO in a grange of circumstances - so much can affect this.

Do I have to install Grand Prix 3 or GP3-2000?

You don't need to install anything as the versions of the game are as they are on my hard drive and ready to use. Should just need to unzip and play.

F1 1985 = Grand Prix 3
F1 1991 = Grand Prix 3
F1 1998 = GP3-2000
F1 2002 = GP3-2000

AND ...

F1 1981 coming today = Grand Prix 3
