Brilliant as usual. What else do I need to say?

[hint]Oh yes, maybe we could now get some talented track designers to make the missing tracks and/or redesign some of the few weak tracks amongst the already existing ones[/hint]

Great work! I must say thank you for the whole of the 2002 carset for the CART series.

Now you can relax and look forward to this year's season and to make some more tracks as well.

Ballard, we need a new track to fulfil our GP3 track collection for F1 and CART. Also not that many people would work on a street circuit as it is a lot of work so I gotta credit Paul for his committments to create a CART street circuit.

Looks good.

F Caballero -
I made the same mistake and thought Miami refered to the oval. :s

No, no, no, you guys got it wrong!
Paul Edmonds asked the forum, just as the 2002 CART season was over, what was next for the Pen... Miami, Denver or the IRL circus, remember? Most people opted for ovals, so the Paul said: "Well, I guess it's Miami next", as in Homestead Miami, 1st round of the 2003 IRL calendar.
Even on his last post with the Fontana update, he pointed he had most of the tracks layouts ready, without scenery...
Correct me if I'm wrong, which I'm not!!!

Oh I forgot about the IRL series. So would Paul make some carsets from IRL rather than CART?

If he does then I think he would make the Homestead track then. You could be right mate.

Paul's already made a 2002 IRL carset and as far as I know, he's working on the IRL 2002 oval tracks.
Can't wait though...

Before this gets totally out of hand......

The track I referred to recently was the Bayfront circuit used by CART for the Grand Prix Americas - the Miami Street circuit. That will be the next all-new track from the Smoking Pen.

But..

I do have all of the IRL tracks in some form or other, even if it's very basic. Unfortunately, what I don't have is good coverage of the tracks - the TV broadcast and the IRL photos focus tightly on the cars and very little on the track environment - the best way to see the trackside details is often from the on-board cameras! Homestead is definitely top of the list as far as ovals go, which I suspect is where the confusion has arisen. Look for that sometime after the Homestead race this year, but folk will have to accept that the new ovals may be a bit lacking in detail if I can't get to see what's there.

I will be doing a CART series this year and an IRL carset, (note the different words!!), but the IRL carset will be based on the top 22 at Indy, so don't hold your breath.

Meanwhile, I'm working on a new cc-line for Milwaukee, as a prelude to the new ovals, and hope to make adjustments to the Cleveland cc-line and to Nazareth magic data, (to stop the pitstop crashes), all before Spring Training gets underway.

OK? Enough already!!

I really don't understand why televsion and photographers always focus on the cars in races when it's obvious that what race fans really want to see most are close-ups of the advertisements, kerbs, and track buildings.
